INFORMATION
The GEL-SONOMA ™ 6 G-TX running shoe is designed for the great outdoors. Taking inspiration from the ASICS trail running shoe family, this versatile model is ideal for trail runs, gentle climbs and other outdoor adventures. We also used fewer resources to color the insole for a more sustainable design approach. This updated version of our trail running shoe is finished with a GORE-TEX ™ upper to keep feet dry on wet ground.
Our goal for this season was to improve the fit of the upper, so we implemented a new mounting design that ensures a more secure fit of the midfoot and heel, while the wider toe gives the toes plenty of room to stretch out. The synthetic seams on the linings are designed to improve durability, protecting the feet and reducing slipping.
Underfoot comfort comes from a full-length AMPLIFOAM ™ midsole and GEL ™ technology cushioning unit positioned where runners need more effective shock absorption. To increase softness with every step, we have incorporated an ORTHOLITE ™ insole for excellent comfort. In addition, the multidirectional grip sole improves traction on different surfaces.
All of these comfort-oriented components are complemented by durable properties, such as the sturdy rubber outsole, which make this shoe a versatile choice for trail running.
