    Description

    British Pattern 1845 Naval Cutlass.
    The ricasso is marked with a crown over "4" and the underside of the guard has an "X"
    . The cup hilt and iron grip are tight. Everything has small pitting scattered throughout. The blade is straight, lightly sharpened, the tip has been blunted, several nicks, no rust, and has an overall dark patina. Washer is missing. No scabbard. Length of the blade measures 28 1/2" (1 5/16" wide x 5/16" thick) and the sword is 34".
