    Description

    Wonderful old Chinese porcelain Brush Pot.  A cylindrical pot, in high relief with a hunting dog, and a small bird amongst a stand of trees, the rim and foot with a modeled band of ruyi heads, the base with a carved four-character seal mark of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795).  Most likely an apocryphal mark.  The Brush Pot was used for Chinese writing brushes, as an item for the Chinese Scholar's table.
    Dimensions are: 5 inches high and 3.5 inches in diameter.
    Wood Stand is not included.
