My velvet cape provides a drape
So I’m not chilled to the bone.
Elegance a requisite on a glitter, sleeveless gown,
Exquisite really, though black in color,
It does not bring me down.
My headband of ribbon, rhinestones clear and green,
Highlight my cape’s lining and the trim upon its seams.
My beaded bracelets provide the sparkle,
To my gauntlets black,
When my subjects are only those in my thoughts,
I just might not come back!
