Allows you to place your flashes close to the subject and
then use a long lense from a distance,
gives you freedom of movement.
Often used to make a silhouhette picture of the
bride and groom toasting
Can also be used for a hair kicker light

Vivitar 283 flashes
Novatron lighting system
Flash slaves
Tested and working fine
With all my sync cords, the ends were wrapped with
electrical tape to reduce bending (which eventually
lead to failure)
