    Description

    Elements of the 2nd Battalion, 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division on a two day search and destroy operation near Bien Hoa. Operating from the batallion area, individual platoons searched the area for the Viet Cong. Platoon Sergeant Fermin Modestin gives instructions to his men on patrol. Sentry dogs were used during the search operation, one of the Vietnamese handlers with his dog can be seen in the foreground.
