Oman 50 Rials, 2010, P-47, PMG 66

Description

The 50 Omani Rial Banknote from 2010 was issued to commemorate the countrys 40th National Day. Its obverse side features a portrait of Sultan Qaboos bin Said at the center, with the Ministry of Finance and Economy building, Mirani Fort, and the main entrance of the CBO headquarters in the background. The coat of arms of Oman with crossed swords and khanjar and a crown in green SPARK as a registration device is also printed on the front design. Its reverse side features the 40th National Day logo, Cabinet building, Ministry of Commerce and Industry building, and a crown. The note is 174 x 76 mm in size and is equipped with a gold-to-blue varifeye Colour Change Patch, and a green-to-gold Rolling Star windowed security thread, to enhance its security features. Placing the note under a UV light would show a watermark image of the Sultan and electrotype 50.
