Description

The first note introduced in the sixth series of banknotes to be issued by the Central Bank of Oman in 2020, the 50 Omani rial banknote of 2020 commemorates the 50th anniversary of the rise of the Modern Omani Renaissance. The obverse side highlights Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the Central Bank of Oman building, and the Mirani Fort. The reverse side features the facades of the Supreme Court building, the Council of Oman building, and the Ministry of Finance building. The note has the Omani coat of arms as its registration device, the Sultan as its watermark, and the denomination in Arabic numerals as its electrotype watermark. The note also has a gold-to-blue varifeye ColourChange patch, green-to-gold RollingStar windowed security thread, and the denomination in green-to-gold SPARK ink on the front side. The note measures 173 mm by 76 mm.
