    Description

    Toronto Fire Station 215 Patch.
Version 2.0 now with iron-on adhesive on back.
Explanation of the design: The Highland Rangers were a group of badass mariners who operated on the Great Lakes in the latter part of the 19th century from a pier formerly located at the foot of Port Union Rd. in Scarborough, which is in Station 215’s running area. The Rangers ruled the waterways for half a century, and were known to haul legitimate cargo during business hours and contraband under cover of darkness. The Ranger character wears traditional Highland garb, but carries a modern fire axe, and has a 19th-century wooden sailing vessel in the background. The number 11 on his helmet represents Station 215’s original designation, prior to Toronto’s amalgamation, which was Scarborough Hall 11.
