Toronto Fire Services has a rich history, the original Toronto Fire Department being established in 1874... The Toronto Fire Services was created in 1998 from the merger of the former Fire Departments of the original City of Toronto, East York, Etobicoke, North York, Scarborough and York. It is the largest Fire Department in Canada.
About 90% of the 82 Fire Stations in the City have created their own "Station Patch" to build morale and offer reference to their original communities... Currently there are another half dozen Fire Stations that have Station Patches in the works! There are also other dozen "specialty
" patches out there too!
