    Description

    Description:
    (includes the photos)
    For Sale:
A silver plated openwork serving plate with pedestal base. Made by R. Wallace & Sons Mfg. Co. (I think) – number 3319N. Dimensions: 10 1/8” (diameter - top) 4 1/8” (diameter – base), 1 ½” (height), ¾” (depth).
An attractive, solid, and functional piece - its not a cake plate, the top surface is a bit too concave for that.
    Identifying Marks:
“lion sejant-rampant mark” (could pass for a squirrel sejant), “W”,”Co”, “crown mark”(all on one line); “N”,”S”  (line); “3319N” (line). My source would indicate this is a “Vintage” item.
    Condition:
used – Overall light patina (scratching) from normal use. However, there are numerous heavier scratches (knife marks) to the smooth center area. The piece is moderately tarnished.
    Thanks for considering this item.

    Descriptions:
I try to provide accurate descriptions. It’s important to understand that I’m not an expert on these items and so my assessments can be off. In particular, information is often derived from internet sources which may not be accurate. Also, measurements are rounded and can be off a bit.
    Photos:
The photos are the most important part of the description. You need to examine them closely. If you see something you don’t like, there’s a good chance it’s still going to be there when you open the package. Still, it might be just a shadow or the lighting. Also, there might be something missing from the photos that you need to see. So, if it’s a deal breaker, please ask me about it before buying (or not buying).
    Note:
a photo may contain unrelated items added for scale or ambiance, e.g., a U.S. half dollar (1.2") or dime (0.7”). Such items are not included in the sale. The sale includes only the item(s) detailed in the written description.
    Definitions:
“Antique” means at least 100 years old (pre 1920), while “Vintage” means at least 50 years old (pre 1970). When an item is described as such, often it's just my considered estimate and should not be taken as an expert assessment. These are frequent search terms and are included for that reason.
    Returns:
items can be returned for a refund within 30 days. You may have to pay the return shipping.
    Feedback:
I always leave feedback. Yours is appreciated.
    Questions:
I’m happy to answer questions. Asking is always easier and cheaper than having to pack something up and return it. If you see an error in this listing, please let me know. Corrections are welcome.
