WWI British Pattern 1908 Cavalry Saber - S. B. & N. Ltd. - RMC 35

Description

WWI British Pattern 1908 Cavalry Saber. The ricasso has several markings including "S. B. & N. Ltd." for Sanderson Brothers & Neubold Limited, review the pics for the other ricasso markings and guard markings including "RMC 35" for the Royal Military College. The cup hilt and grip are tight. The cup has some light surface rust throughout. The grip shows a little wear, no chips but there are some small crackle lines on the backside. The blade is straight, unsharpened, a few light nicks on the lower half, no rust, no pitting, and has an overall dark patina. Washer is missing. No scabbard. Length of the blade measures 34 3/4" (1" wide x 3/8" thick) and the sword is 42 1/4".
